Prep: A 1999 graduate of University High School in Honolulu…earned three letters in both volleyball and basketball, and two in paddling…in her senior year, was named first team all-state while leading the Junior 'Bows to a second place finish in the state tournament…named first team all-ILH and school athlete-of-the-year that season while finishing runner-up to teammate Lily Kahumoku for state player-of-the-year honors…as a junior, earned first team all-ILH in both volleyball and paddling…received all-ILH honorable mention accolades as a sophomore and junior in basketball…scholar athlete-of-the-year in her freshman year…coached in volleyball by Roz Ripley…member of the Hula and Computer Tech clubs.

Personal: Born Margaret Moala Vakasausau on April 24, 1981, in Honolulu…chose UH because of the coaches, players and fans…also recruited by Fresno State, Iowa and Rutgers…enjoys playing beach volleyball, surfing, reading and browsing the internet…career goal is to be a pilot…favorite athletes are soccer star Mia Hamm and volleyball player Fiona Nepo…other favorites include Mexican food, the movie "Ace Ventura," and the colors green and white…has one sister, Litiana…parents are Kathryn and Ilaitia Vakasausau of Honolulu.
