Volunteer Coach Shelton Tang
Shelton Tang enters his sixth year as a volunteer
coach for the Rainbow Wahine volleyball program. He has been assisting
head coach Dave Shoji with many of the practice and game duties
since 1994.
In addition to his Wahine volleyball duties,
Tang has been a coach with the Asics Rainbow Volleyball Club since
1993. He also assists former Wahine Toni Nishida-Chock on the
Kaimuki High School girls' volleyball team.
Tang graduated from UH in 1991 where he earned
his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. Following
graduation, he was hired by GTE Hawaiian Tel as a transmission
engineer designing fiber optic networks.
Tang lives in Honolulu where he enjoys exercising,
reading X-Men comic books and collecting basketball cards.
