1996 (Freshman):
Participated in 97 games in all 38 matches
used primarily
in the backrow, but played briefly at the left-side position

experience and showed good hitting and digging skills as a freshman
developed
a good jump serve, which accounted for her 14 aces

had good hitting nights against Santa
Clara, hitting .400 with eight kills in 15 attempts, and Air Force,
hitting .500 with six kills in eight attempts

16 WAC matches hitting .213 overall with 37 kills, five aces and
64 digs.
Prep: A 1996
graduate of Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, Calif...a
four-year letterwinner in volleyball and also lettered two years
in basketball...a first team all-Del Rey League selection for
three years...named to the first team all-CIF in both her junior
and senior seasons...the league's Most Valuable Player twice...twice
named Player-of-the-Week by the Torrance Cable Co. and
the Daily Breeze...a Junior Olympic gold medalist in 1993...a
member of the 1994 Division II CIF champions...while playing on
the NIKE Ichiban Volleyball Club with fellow Wahine teammate Heather
Bown, she was selected as a first team All-American.

Born Heidi Lynn Lim Ilustre on Dec. 12, 1977, in Harbor City,
Calif...enjoys going out with friends and playing beach volleyball...literature
is her favorite subject...other favorites include Michael Jordan,
purple, Filipino food, and the movie "Grease"...biggest
athletic thrills were winning the CIF and a gold medal at the
Junior Olympics...has an older brother, Harbell, and a younger
sister, Hedder...parents are Erlinda and Hermie Ilustre of Carson,
Calif.
