College: Played two seasons at Brigham Young-Hawai'i under head coach Wilfred Navalta…in 1998 averaged 1.76 kills and 2.42 digs playing in 30 matches and 106 games…recorded 27 service aces and 37 total blocks…as a freshman, played in 23 of 32 matches and 50 total games…had a season-best 10 digs against Hawai'i-Hilo…recorded five service aces, two kills and two assists in the NAIA national tournament against St. Mary's (Texas)…in 1996, redshirted at Lewis-Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho, where she was recruited to play basketball.

Prep: A 1996 graduate of Lewiston High School in Lewiston, Idaho…lettered four years in volleyball, basketball and track and field…was a three-time all-state selection in volleyball and basketball…graduated as class salutatorian with a 3.98 grade point average.

Personal: Born Andrea Ann Gomez on Jan. 31, 1978, in Portland, Ore…enjoys singing, writing poetry, being with family, dancing and coaching at volleyball camps for younger players…recruited out of high school to play basketball by Washington State, San Diego State, Idaho, Weber State, Pacific, Portland and Northern Arizona…also recruited to play volleyball by Idaho…has five brothers and one sister…sister Aletha played volleyball for Brigham Young-Hawai'i…married to UH men's volleyball player Torry Tukuafu…parents are Barbara and Michael Gomez of Lewiston, Idaho.
