1998 (Sophomore): Earned AVCA first team All-America and first team All-MPSF honors…was a major force behind UH's success in his first season as a Rainbow…averaged a team-high 5.68 kills and 1.99 blocks per game which ranked him among the nation's leaders…also hit a team-best .378 while averaging 1.55 digs per game…led or tied the team high in kills and blocks in 16 matches…had a career-high 34 kills in UH's straight-set win over UCLA (Feb. 3)…recorded 32 kills in his first match against Penn Sate (Jan. 7)…posted 20-plus kills in 10 matches and 10-plus blocks in four…put together six double-double performances…pounded 21 kills while hitting .529 and blocking eight kill attempts in win over Long Beach State (Feb. 18)…in UH's MPSF first round win over UC Santa Barbara (Apr. 18), recorded a career-high 13 blocks.

Prep: A 1994 graduate of Coubertin Gymnasium in Berlin, Germany…won German High School Championships with the Coubertin Gymnasium team in 1992…member of the German national team since the spring of 1997…participated in the 1993 Junior World Championships…competed in the World Student Games in Fukuoka, Japan in 1995.

Personal: Born Jan. 18, 1975 in Berlin, Germany…hopes to qualify with the German team for the 2000 or 2004 Olympics…want to play professional volleyball after graduation…favorites include cyclist Jan Ullrich, musician Eric Clapton, computer science and Mrs. Fields cookies…is a Capricorn…enjoys reading and traveling…has one brother, Thomas…parents are Renate and Wolfgang Breuer of Berlin, Germany.
