More details are in the Star Bulletin story (scroll down a little) linked in the Calendar section on my page. - mike ======================================== Follow Hawaii Rainbow Volleyball at http://www.pixi.com/~kulasoft/volley.htm ======================================== * * * Subject: Re: Hawaii Food Bank Benefit Date: Sat, 12 Apr 1997 16:58:59 -0000 From: "Woozie" To: Mike: I don't know if you went to the autograph session, but there were several hundred people waiting in line shortly after 9:00 am. Fans were routed single file past the Wahine and men's basketball teams first. All of those players were present except for Micah Kroeger and the players who were on suspension. The Wahine volleyball starters were there except for Nalani Yamashita (6 of the Magnificent 7). The men's volleyball team was present except for Aaron Wilton, Sivan Leoni and Moses Goods. For all of the teams except the Wahine volleyball team, trading cards were provided for the players' signatures. There were also tours of the arena at this event. The tours took fans down to the locker rooms and the court. Fans were allowed to serve volleyballs from the edge of the taraflex floor if they wished. The most impressive part of the tour was the arena's gleaming $300,000+ weight room which puts any normal gym to shame. Overall, not a bad deal for $5 and a can of food (plus $1 for parking). \Voozie
